A CAB (comprehensive annual physical exam) is a physical exam that goes beyond the typical annual physical. This type of physical is required by certain occupations, but is also recommended for patients with chronic health conditions, such as diabetes, heart disease, or cancer, or for patients over the age of 65. Depending on the person's age and medical history, the physical may include:
- Vision and hearing tests
- Heart and lung function tests
- Sleep apnea tests
- Drug and alcohol tests
- Blood tests
